As you can see it was composed of six lines of semi deep cuts that were starting to scab. Normally these scabs would become bigger and darker. As the scabs become darker and drier, the itching becomes irritating and many people keep at it until they remove the scab. This will make things worse. Even when the scabs peel off normally, the color of the skin in that area would be different and lighter than the skin around it, especially in the face or hand areas which are exposed to the sun.
